Sara Hiebsch, MA, LPC, LCDC

Hey Everyone, I'm Sara. I’ve been in the Austin area for almost 12 years and counseling for the last 8. I received my bachelor’s from Baylor University and my Master’s in Counseling from St. Edwards University.  I have experience working in residential and outpatient settings. Deciding to seek counseling is a big step and I will make sure clients feel supported and informed.

I use a client focused approach to therapy. Deciding to seek counseling is a big step and I will make sure clients feel supported and informed. Clients can expect to walk away from sessions feeling supported and equipped with tools to help them better cope with the challenges of life. I look forward to meeting with you soon!

Our Approach

Congratulations! If you're here, that means you have successfully taken the first step in promoting your mental health. Deciding on a counselor is an important decision, one that you should be thoughtful about and take your time with. SKO Counseling utilizes a variety of treatment modalities to help you in your healing journey. These include: Choice Theory, Existentialism, Thought Field Therapy, and Relational Interventions.

We believe in the power of the individual; that we all already have all that we need for healing and wholeness. We want to be your partner in your journey. Together, we’ll work to create a plan that identifies your goals and how we’ll reach that goal. You already have all the strengths you need, together we will work to gain the knowledge and find opportunities for you to utilize these. Please contact us to set up your free 15 minute consult to see if one of our clincians would be a good match.

Shelly O'Donnell, MA, LPC, LCDC

Hello! My name is Shelly O’Donnell. I’m a native Austinite who loves the outdoors, my dogs, and naps. I attended Texas State University for both my Bachelors and Masters degrees. In my opinion, it’s the most beautiful and relaxing college campus in Central Texas. When not at work, you can find me trying new restaurants, spending time with family, or enjoying art/music/movies.

My counseling practice will always be a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of gender, ethnicity, race, creed, sexuality, religion, or other. You’ll find my counseling style to be relaxed, warm, and collaborative while never underselling the value of humor and connection.

The best part of personal growth is learning how to be honest and vulnerable with yourself. To do that sometimes you need someone that gives you the safe space to do that. Shelly has given me the space and the guidance to experience this growth. For that I am grateful!
